Delicate
I was looking for a new matcha to try to replace my beloved Iponmastu, and I wanted to try this new cultivar.
More vegetal, greener, almost marine, yet still without any bitterness. Once again, a great success.

A great matcha
This is the one I keep for myself for the weekend.
It is excellent and very smooth.
Thank you

Delphine

Very, very good matcha
My life is no longer complete without matcha!!! It has become a perfect and healthy addiction.
Samidori has a beautiful colour and a taste that is neither too strong nor too weak—I can't explain it, but it has little or no bitterness, and that's what I like about it.

Story Tasting Detail

The Quest for an Authentic Ceremonial-Grade Matcha

Between Tyas and me, this is a story that began well before this matcha. I met him when he was already that unique bridge between the West and Japan, the first European to become a master of the Enshu-Ryu tea ceremony. A meeting that would transform my vision of matcha and give rise to an extraordinary project: creating a matcha that would be truly worthy of a traditional ceremony.

This isn't just another marketing product, but a tea that tells a story, one that honors every gesture, every code of Koicha.

Tyas explained the complexity to me. A true ceremonial-grade matcha isn't just a matter of taste. It's a philosophy. The ability to produce a creamy foam, a deep green color, a refinement that transcends a simple beverage.

Tyas knew that a true ceremonial-grade matcha had to meet almost spiritual criteria.

An exceptional terroir

We went to meet Azuma-san, an exceptional producer, on her isolated sloping plot. A unique plot that produces the rare and precious Samidori cultivar.

Together, we worked to develop a tea worthy of the greatest ceremonies. Tyas, as Tea Master, personally validated every step. He now uses it in his own ceremonies, with tourists and Japanese locals alike.

A rare elegance

This matcha is the fruit of three passionate individuals: Tyas, guardian of traditions, Valentin, explorer of flavors, and Azuma-San, the last heir to a family craft.

A sensory experience, a living heritage to be tasted like a great wine, with respect and wonder.

If you would like to taste a matcha approved by a Tea Master, both as Koicha and for daily consumption, cultivated by Azuma San, already known for her Ipponmatsu, this ceremonial-grade matcha is made for you!

Discover the secrets of the tea ceremony: watch this video in which Valentin guides us, step by step, through thetraditional preparationof matcha, and turn every tasting into a moment of mindfulness.
