I recently went to Japan and was able to try Uji Matcha.
This is the only one I’ve found so far that, to my taste, matches the level of Uji’s!!
Not cheap, clearly, but delicious.

Very good matcha with a slightly sweet and gentle flavour.

I had tasted matcha before, even organic. But it’s nothing like the matcha offered by Kumiko Matcha. I love its flavour and the benefits I get from drinking it. Every morning, I enjoy my ritual of preparing and savouring the green matcha tea from Kumiko Matcha, which I highly recommend.

ALL Kumiko teas are excellent! I’ve tasted 5 different ones, I can’t choose based on flavour... it’s a matter of subtlety... so my wallet decides for me! Even the most affordable Kumiko tea is THE best! (compared to matcha teas sold online and in organic shops).
I drink it with added plant-based milk for my afternoon snack... My moment of pleasure.
Plus very educational video reports that let us travel without taking a plane!
Excellent after-sales service & communication also in case of modification or cancellation / subscriptions.

As for accessories, the electric whisk doesn’t match the classic shasen for frothing tea, but can be used as a complement (more for frothing milk)...

This kit is truly perfect for starting out in the world of matcha tea.

Personally, I decided to explore matcha further for the antioxidants it contains, from which the discovery of a whole universe followed.
In one month, I have created for myself, some would say a routine, a ceremony, I would say my "me time".
For my birthday, I received a matcha sieve as a gift (which unfortunately is not sold on the KUMIKO site, it should be offered) it allows for finer sifting of the powder and makes it easier for me to create the famous and amazing "little foam", which I find somewhat difficult to achieve.

The matcha offered in this KIT is certainly well suited, with a slight bitterness at first but followed by a very surprising gentle creaminess.
I usually make Usucha (light Matcha with 2g of powder) and sometimes Koicha (thick Matcha with 4g of powder)
I don’t use tap water, but a low-mineral water from the brand "ROUCOUS", using 8 to 10cl maximum at 70°C max
and I keep learning about this subject
I need to place a new order because my tin is almost empty; but which one to choose?
There is such a variety of matcha that I don’t know which one to choose.
For a beginner like me, a flavour progression chart for matcha would be very helpful.
for example: from more to less bitter
I chose this criterion arbitrarily, there are certainly others, notably related to the Umami flavour.

The flavour is there, I use it to make my matcha bubble teas – a success 🩵🩵🩵

Quality matcha, perfect for beginners I think, but it’s not my favourite. It remains an excellent product to savour.

With the second delivery, the palate sharpens and the three new teas reveal their uniqueness. The OKUMIDORI, a unique cultivar, is very smooth with milky then floral flavours. The ULTRA PREMIUM ORGANIC (which I wouldn’t have dared to buy outside the subscription) is incredibly pleasant and fresh with notes of exotic fruits and white chocolate. Knowing farmer Nishi San’s quest for perfection, using silver covers and the unique terroir at the foot of an active volcano, adds even more pleasure to tasting this exceptional tea. And finally, the surprising NAKAI 2024, initially rough then mineral and indulgent, is no less appreciated! Especially when you know farmer Nakaï San’s fight for organic farming since 1996 with his many isolated plots in the forest and mountains. You can only feel gratitude when tasting it. One last appreciated detail: the subscription is flexible in duration as I was able to get the second delivery early, having consumed the first three teas in less than three months. I can’t wait to continue the journey...

I haven’t been into matcha for long, but I’m already hooked...
I find this one delicious, I prefer it as a latte, with just a tiny touch of agave syrup... And very frothy. I use a classic whisk, but I think I’m going to invest in a Kumiko whisk.
I used to be quite addicted to coffee, its buffet a bit too much, I think it’s better to be addicted to matcha for your health! 😊

Good barista tea for latte, not bitter, quite mild

The powder is fine, a vibrant green, with no bitterness at all, just sweetness and a delicate, perfectly balanced flavour. You can immediately tell it’s a very high-quality matcha.

It took me a while to discover it, and now I regret not having tasted it sooner!

This matcha has a unique identity, a superb organoleptic harmony, free from bitterness and acidity with a truly distinctive umami.

I’m very satisfied with my purchase: a magnificent bowl that brings out the bright green of the matcha tea.

This discovery pack is ideal for trying different matchas with sweet, floral notes—all with exceptional flavours thanks to the quality! Perfect for then choosing your favourite! I really love the Okumidori and Yabukita.

I had been admiring this lovely set for a while, but I hesitated because of the price. I finally decided to treat myself, and I definitely don’t regret adding it to my matcha ritual, accompanied of course by Kumiko matcha! The perfect gift to give or receive—the dimensions are just right, it’s rare to find such a beautiful matching naoshi, and even the storage box is a stunning work of art!

When I received the first three teas from the OMAKASE programme, I couldn’t really tell the difference between them. But as I continued tasting, the subtleties of each gently revealed themselves. My favourite, the SHUKUSAÏ, rich and creamy with a lovely milky flavour; the basic reassuringly smooth and delicious PREMIUM BIO; and the IPPONMATSU, which hasn’t yet revealed all its secrets beyond its terroir taste and perhaps a hint of white chocolate... A tasting experience in progress!

The matcha is simply EXCELLENT
As soon as you open the tin, you can see and smell that the matcha is of incredible quality.
Unsurprisingly, the tasting proved to be a real pleasure, with no bitterness and perfect sweetness.

The quarterly subscription is perfect; it lets me vary between the 3 matchas every day.
