The basic preparation of an organic matcha latte is quite simple.

The main ingredients of matcha latte:

  • Finely ground green tea leaves, i.e., organic matcha tea.
  • water (hot or cold depending on the recipe)
  • organic milk (plant-based or not)

What does matcha latte taste like?

The taste of a matcha latte is slightly different from that of traditional matcha tea. This is because the addition of milk to matcha makes the matcha latte more pleasant and gives it a sweet flavour. The milky notes add roundness and a nice balance to the herbaceous notes of organic matcha.

By using high-quality matcha, such as organic premium matcha, the umami flavor remains present on the palate, without any bitterness or astringency.

To enhance the aromatic complexity, it is interesting to add ingredients with floral notes, such as rose syrup or flower honey.

Ingredients (for 2 cups):

- 2 teaspoons of organic culinary grade matcha tea

- 25 ml of hot water

- 350 ml organic almond milk at room temperature

- organic lavender honey (or classic honey)

The recipe for matcha latte with almond milk

  • Place the matcha powder in a large bowl.
  • Gently pour hot water over it.
  • Whisk everything together using a traditional bamboo whisk until you obtain a smooth froth.
  • Then pour the mixture into 2 cups and add the almond milk.
  • Finish with a spoonful of lavender honey to sweeten the drink.

It's ready, you can enjoy your cup of tea for tasting.

This frothy, indulgent matcha latte is best enjoyed at room temperature.

How to prepare an iced matcha latte?

Making an iced matcha latte is very easy!

To do this, pour two teaspoons of matcha into a shaker, then add ice cubes and a little water to fill 2/3 of the shaker, then shake several times until the matcha powder is completely mixed with the water!

Then, just mix everything with almond milk, add honey, and it's ready!

My tips for making the perfect matcha latte every time

To help you prepare it successfully every time, I share some of my tips for making the perfect matcha latte:

  • To avoid lumps when preparing matcha, try pouring in a little cold water and mixing the powder with the water using a chasen whisk, then adding the hot water.
  • If the matcha powder is not fine enough, I recommend sifting it, so that you won't find any lumps at the bottom of your cup.
  • To obtain a beautiful milk froth, you can use a milk frother for an even more creamy texture.
  • For the best possible taste, avoid using tap water. Filtered or spring water will give the tea a better taste!

Matcha Rose Latte

INGREDIENTS (MAKES ABOUT 2 CUPS):

  • 2 teaspoons of ultra-premium organic premium matcha
  • 350 ml of organic plant-based milk
  • 25 ml of hot water
  • 2 tablespoons of rose to infuse
  • organic honey to sweeten to your taste

PREPARATION OF PINK MATCHA LATTE

  • In a saucepan, gently heat the plant-based milk with the rose petals to infuse.
  • Once the milk is hot, remove the saucepan from the heat and let it rest for about ten minutes.
  • Pour the ultra-premium organic premium matcha powder and 25mL of hot water into a bowl.
  • Mix the green tea with water using a traditional bamboo whisk, the chasen, or a classic whisk, until you obtain a smooth mixture.
  • Then pour the infused milk into glasses, filtering out the rose petals beforehand.
  • Add matcha tea preparation, as well as honey, if you like it sweet.

All that's left to do is enjoy your flavoursome pink matcha latte at room temperature.

Peach Matcha Latte 🍑

INGREDIENTS (MAKES ABOUT 2 CUPS):

  • 2 teaspoons of ultra-premium organic premium matcha
  • 350 ml of organic plant-based milk
  • 2 plates of organic peaches
  • 25 ml of hot water
  • one teaspoon of organic honey (optional)
  • ice cubes

PREPARING PEACH MATCHA LATTE:

  • Cut the peach slices into small pieces and place them at the bottom of each glass.
  • Add ice cubes on top, then slowly pour in the organic plant-based milk.
  • In a separate bowl, prepare the ultra-premium organic premium matcha tea by mixing it with 25 ml of hot water.
  • You can use a traditional bamboo whisk or a classic whisk.
  • Continue to whisk until the tea is perfectly smooth.
  • Then pour this matcha tea mixture into the glasses.
  • Add honey if you want a more indulgent drink.

Matcha and peach latte

There are two ways to enjoy your delicious peach matcha latte. You can drink it immediately at room temperature or wait a few minutes. When in contact with ice cubes, the matcha tea and plant-based milk will cool down and develop new flavours.

Pumpkin Spice Matcha Latte

Ingredients (for 2 people):

  • 2 teaspoons of ultra-premium organic premium matcha
  • 400 ml organic plant-based milk (preferably soy or oat milk)
  • 25 ml of hot water
  • 1 teaspoon of pumpkin spice
  • A little organic honey, if desired.

Homemade organic pumpkin spice:

  • 2 teaspoons of organic cinnamon powder
  • 1 teaspoon organic ginger powder
  • 1 teaspoon organic nutmeg powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon organic four-spice powder

Pumpkin spice matcha latte with ultra-premium matcha tea and organic ingredients.

RECIPE FOR SPICED PUMPKIN MATCHA LATTE:

  • Prepare the "homemade pumpkin spice" by mixing all the spices in a bowl.
  • In another bowl, pour 25 mL of hot water (but be careful not to exceed 80°C!) over the ultra-premium organic premium matcha powder.
  • Whisk the mixture with your Chasen (Japanese bamboo whisk) until everything is well incorporated.
  • Then pour the matcha tea into glasses and add the hot milk. Add honey if desired.

To finish, sprinkle each glass with "homemade pumpkin spice".
